There is no such thing as mental or psychic strength. It takes the same amount of effort to move a feather as a mountain. What does vary though, is the amount of confidence, focus and understanding people have. This is often incorrectly reported as strength. In a way I suppose it is a form of strength, the strength of our belief and confidence in our self. The thing here is to see what is – not what we would like. This opens our future to contain all that is possible so we may choose what we experience.
Consider this, to move a feather and a mountain is the same thing. There is a certain small amount of energy expended to request the mind to update the map with the effect required. Once the map is updated, the feather and/or the mountain are now floating in defiance of custom. There is no law that states that mountains cannot float. Gravity is an effect which is also defined in the map. Change the map, change the rules, mountains can float – this may be a bit disconcerting if it chooses to float above someone.
It simply boils down to the oft stated saying – “What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve“.
The interesting part of this is that when we see something that runs contrary to our established belief patterns, it is often invisible. This is a form of proof that such behaviour is impossible – even though it is occurring in front of our noses.
Have you noticed that the whole gist of this site and the related sites is OBSERVE and grow?
If our observation habits are well established, we are less likely to maintain a fixed opinion, so we may start to see what is, not what we would like to believe is. Once we observe what is, we are then open to doing this new thing ourselves – we believe it is possible as we have seen it.
Similarly, we can be standing with our nose pressed up against a miracle and never see it, because it cannot exist – what a waste! Be open to change, believe that anything is possible and it will be.
The interesting thing is that I cannot change you – the laws of the universe make this one thing impossible. I can however, convince you that I can, your belief will then create the change, and I get the credit. That is how most things work, including our vaunted technology.
